The argoance of the elf has no boundries. They did not help either man or dwarf that day, but secretly rejoiced that the mighty dwarves had been humbled by the dragon Smaug. Another grudge it is in the great book of grudges against elven kind for whom the dwarves hold great grudges against. (Channeling a little bit of warhammer into it)
